What you'll do

  • Build and maintain the customer-facing product: the entity graph visualization, the investigation trail, findings and evidence views, and the "ask the investigator" chat interface.
  • Build and maintain the public API and MCP server that let customers and their own systems call Verety directly — this is a developer product as much as it is a UI.
  • Work across the stack: React/Next.js on the frontend, Node.js APIs, and the data layer underneath both.
  • Turn ambiguous product requirements (ours and our design partners') into shipped, tested features — in a team this size, you'll own features end to end, not just a slice of one.
  • Help shape how the product is built, not just what gets built — engineering practices, tooling, and architecture decisions are still being set.

What we're looking for

  • Several years of production experience building and shipping full-stack web applications.
  • Comfortable owning a feature from design through deploy, with real judgment about tradeoffs — this is not a role with a large team to defer decisions to.
  • Strong product sense — you care about whether the thing you built actually makes a compliance analyst's day easier, not just whether it compiles.
  • Able to work independently in a small, remote, early-stage team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with graph/network visualization (e.g. force-directed layouts, D3, React Flow).
  • Experience building or consuming public APIs, SDKs, or MCP servers.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-adjacent industry.
